A Partnership between CLAPERS and Hines for Office Real Estate Investment

In 1998, the California State Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS), the nation's largest pension fund, and Hines, one of the world's largest real estate organizations, formed an office real estate investment partnership focused on achieving above-average risk-adjusted rates of return over a term of thirty-plus years. The investment partnership, called National Office Partners Limited Partnership, encompasses more than 6.4 million rentable square feet - valued at approximately $1.8 billion - in class-A office assets comprised of 11 existing projects.
